Requisition Summary

We are looking for a driven System Acceptance Supervisor to join our Vehicle Integration Validation - Electric Powertrain team. The specific focus will be the validation of heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicle functions. The selected individual will work in a global, cross-divisional, and innovative team to supervise development and validation of "Best in Class" vehicle functions for North America.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Receive, prioritize, and assign project requests in support of truck division development programs.
  • Communicate project scheduling, issues, and progress with division engineering.
  • Coordinate between appropriate PTC groups to gather required test data.
  • Support, create and maintain departmental procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and report test and validation progress metrics by program.
  • Assess operational needs (processes, staffing, equipment) and provide inputs to management.
  • Applies engineering principles and hands-on experience to actively participate in the in-vehicle validation of vehicle functions, with a specialized focus on alternative fuels for North American vehicles.
  • Develops and executes test plans for requirements validation and reports any discovered defects
  • Provides technical feedback on proposed product changes
  • Provides relevant input to the development, communication, and management of vehicle validation plans, including timing, quality, and budget
  • Proactively stays current on software functionality and product requirements, while continuously exploring and integrating cutting-edge tools and processes to enhance validation effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identifies opportunities or provides input for new initiatives to improve validation and testing methods for higher efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintains positive working relationships with other groups and PACCAR divisions
Qualifications

  • BS in appropriate technical field
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
  • Experience with alternative powertrains.
  • Experience using software emulation tools to conduct testing.
  • Experience developing data analysis scripts.
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability and desire to obtain.
  • Knowledge of vehicle and powertrain management systems and performance
  • Knowledge of in-vehicle system testing, data acquisition systems, OBD, and vehicle control systems, with an emphasis on electric vehicle technologies.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, including but not limited to J1939, UDS, XCP, Ethernet, CAN-bus, LIN-bus and familiarity with protocols specific to batter management and electric powertrain systems.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team leader
  • Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively
  • Self-directed, excellent analysis and engineering judgment required
  • Organized and disciplined with ability to manage personal workload and a willingness and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

The salary range for Electric Powertrain Systems Acceptance Supervisor $96,700 to $151,300 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above.
