Job Description
What this job involves: Facilities Generalist will be a shop assistant with daily/weekly/monthly assignments.

What your day-to-day will look like:
Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, controllers.
Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.
Provide all other building maintenance, repair, and restorative procedures as directed.
Perform general Handyman tasks to maintain buildings.
Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
General office maintenance - hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems.
Minor plumbing repairs
Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested.
Assists other operational staff members in repair and maintenance of building equipment.
Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
Complies with policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintains records for work completed in a neat and organized manner.
Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
Any relevant trade certifications or licenses in lock maintenance, plumbing, or handyman work.
Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot maintenance and repair issues effectively.
Good communication skills to interact with team members and report any maintenance or repair findings.
Previous experience in a similar facilities generalist or maintenance role would be advantageous.

Required Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Capability to perform various building maintenance and repair tasks as directed.
Proficiency in handling general handyman tasks to maintain buildings.
Ability to assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building equipment.
Competency in general office maintenance tasks, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems.
Ability to move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
Willingness to assist other operational staff members in the repair and maintenance of building equipment.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workplace, following policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Ability to maintain neat and organized records for work completed.
