We're looking for an HR Leader, who has had a strong start to their career and are driven to keep growing. The HR Business Partner will provide thought leadership and guidance to Trident leaders on various HR programs, policies, and processes. We are looking for an emerging HR leader who can act as a strategic partner for all groups and levels of the organization. This role will operate with a strategic lens but must also be willing to dig in with teams and individuals to empower our people, diagnose issues, provide support, and drive positive and productive outcomes.

At Trident, our HR Business Partners will have the unique opportunity to develop targeted subject matter expertise across the HR function through a rotational assignment methodology. This approach will provide you with the opportunity to lead large and small projects in the areas you're most passionate about from leadership development to compensation, change leadership, organizational design, coaching, and many more. Our goal for HR Business partners is to broaden and deepen their business leadership and HR acumen.

This hybrid position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in Ballard, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote on Monday and Friday and in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Tridents leaders to understand the needs, goals, and challenges of their teams/functions and provide solutions on how to successfully align people and business strategies and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Build leadership and management capabilities by influencing and coaching managers through various employee and organizational issues.
  • Partner with business leaders to strengthen culture, enhance the employee experience, encourage innovation and continuous improvement in all people related processes, initiatives, and issues.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure robust succession plans are in place for all key positions.
  • Engage in difficult conversations, giving and receiving constructive feedback with respect, empathy, professionalism, and candor.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Facilitate actions to resolve employee relations issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • Review employee complaints and ensure accurate and timely documentation of issues.
  • Partner with Compensation to review internal equity and market rate analysis for assigned requisitions.
  • Adeptly balance business needs, goals, and values with employee advocacy.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously, adapt to change, and flex when needed to pitch in on the day-to-day.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $110k to $125k.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of HR Business Partner/Generalist experience with a focus on employee relations, performance management, organizational design and compliance.
  • Bachelor's/associate degree in human resources, or business, or related area, or a combination of education and years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of applicable HR laws (e.g., state, and federal labor laws, FLSA, leave laws, HIPAA, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred
  • Previous experience working with a diverse workforce.
  • Proficient in Spanish is a plus
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using MS Software, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience in manufacturing environment
