We are a company of passionate individuals striving to improve healthcare and patient experiences. Our work makes a difference in the quality of care that hundreds of thousands of patients receive each day and we're proud of our positive impact.

Help make the world a better place by working with cloud-based technologies in a team-focused environment that cares for its employees and its customers in equal measure. The MCG team provides patient-focused guidance to the healthcare community through content, technology, and customer service.

As a Senior Technical Project Manager you will be the coordinating force for bringing feature concepts to fruition for the product(s) you are affiliated with. When you are the TPM for a project, you are responsible for ensuring its timely delivery, driving its progress, managing risk and expectations, demonstrating concrete progress, and earning the trust of all stakeholders. You will work closely with Product Managers, Software Engineering Teams, and other departments to ensure the end-to-end successful delivery of the software aspects of features. You are expected to rapidly develop depth in the products you support - becoming a functional expert in target experience and familiar with how the functionality is delivered through the underlying services platform.

We're looking for a driven, curious, customer-centered Senior Technical Project Manager to join our team. Do you have a strong sense of ownership and take pride in your work? Then this could be an excellent fit for you!

You Will:

  • Work with Product Managers and key stakeholders to understand the customer value and functional/technical requirements of a software feature and then deliver that feature working with cross-functional engineering and UX teams in design, delivery, management and support.
  • Manage day-to-day software delivery aspects of a project and scope including planning, scheduling, confirming deliverables from teams, and dealing with risks and challenges.
  • The TPM is a cross-team facilitation role and involves holding Product and technology stakeholders accountable for their responsibilities, deliverables, and time commitments.
  • Identify required resources, assign and track tasks and responsibilities.
  • Be the liaison between the Product Management and the software development teams.
  • Apply excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately articulate project status and risks across teams up to an Executive-level audience.
  • Work across multiple engineering teams to deliver on new features.
  • Attend engineering refinement and planning meetings to clarify and vet acceptance criteria and requirements.
  • Assess future risks and constraints during planning. Prepare ahead of time for any necessary dependencies.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes, workflows, and communications.

We Are Looking For:

  • You have a proven track-record managing technical projects that have delivered software with timeliness and accuracy.
  • You're familiar with Agile principles and ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standup, demos, and retrospectives as we follow the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • You're self-motivated and take the initiative to solve problems and deliver on new initiatives.
  • You have experience working with Jira and Confluence.
  • You like to work closely with technology and understand the different moving parts, or you may have prior experience in a technical role.
  • Live in the Seattle Washington area or willing to travel to Seattle several times a year.
  • You strive to be an ideal team player.
  • You have 6 or more years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or related role.
  • You have 6 or more years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
