Job Summary
The General Superintendent is primarily responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with overseeing field crews/equipment, interacting between Matrix personnel, QC / QA and the customer, and assisting with hiring, testing, and scheduling of field personnel.
Essential Functions
* Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."

* Performs system verification on completed systems to assure correct installation per design specifications.
* Reviews NDE reports at jobs to ensure that all code and customer requirements have been met.
* Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities and equipment requirements.
* Supervise craft workers assigned to area of responsibility, provide liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
* Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures and safety requirements are maintained.
* Advise senior level superintendents and/or project management of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties; assist in resolving such problems, as required.
* Ensure all company, department and technical policies, procedures and standards, are adhered to. Interpret policies, as required.
* Perform additional responsibilities, as directed.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of field experience in tank erection and repair.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
* Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook or willingness to learn.
* Knowledge of API standards, preferred.
* Ability to work with other Matrix personnel departments, such as Operations, Project Management, Engineering, and Safety to assist in resolving issues.
* Occasional travel may be required.

Washington law requires pay information in job postings. The typical hiring range for this position in Washington is shown below. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.

Hiring range: $70.00 to $80.00 per hour

Full range for this position, available over time: $70.00 to $83.00 per hour
