Current Need:

The Strategic Pricing and Manufacturer Relations' (SPMR) Product Strategy team connects economic, channel, and strategic insights across the spectrum of biopharma manufacturers and customer interactions for the enterprise. In order to continually improve and evolve strategy - Product Strategy is looking to add a Senior Manager to the team.

In this highly visible position, our ideal candidate will be accountable for presenting and modeling financial strategies for assigned biopharma accounts, and not limited to contract renewals, RFPs, and new product launches to support distribution negotiation.

Day-to-day activities include modeling and forecasting economics, impact/sensitivity analyses, and pressure testing multiple scenarios. Senior Manager will work with cross-functional teams to identify new and incremental business opportunities and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Framing recommendations using qualitative and quantitative data, leading presentations, engaging in discussions, writing executive summaries, and building slides in PowerPoint.

  • Financial modeling based on current market conditions, channel optimization, biopharma manufacturer pipeline, and connecting buy and sell. This includes pressure testing multiple scenarios and tracking iterations of models.

  • Condensing the output of models into clear recommendations for account directors and executives - both written and oral.

  • Work across team and business segments to identify new business opportunities based on product market dynamics, channel, and customer segment to capture new profits.

  • Support broader Product Strategy team ad hoc requests for additional insight into specific products and/or customers across all channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of experience with specialty and/or plasma biopharma manufacturer pricing, business development, and/or finance.

Education:

  • 4-year degree required

  • MBA preferred

Critical Skills:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in a related field (specialty and/or plasma manufacturer pricing, business development, and/or finance)

  • Solid presentation and understanding of distribution services (experience with contract language interpretation and financial terms a plus)

  • People-savvy collaborator with confidence to engage in healthy debate, decide, and commit on a strategy supported by facts and logic

  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Understand profitability and ability to design and model financial in Excel

Additional Skills:

  • Enjoy the challenge of handling shifting priorities and meeting aggressive deadlines while striving for excellence

  • Attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and proactive work management

  • Ability to serve as an inclusive team player who shares knowledge with their team

  • Experience using SQL (experience with Snowflake a plus)

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$98,500 - $164,100
