Job Description
Our client, the world's leading search engine and technology company, is seeking a Software Engineer. This is a 6 month + contract hybrid remote position located in Seattle, WA.
Summary:
Summary:
- The client has a business that empowers Automotive OEMs to make software defined cars, or smart cars, by providing a suite of Maps based products, including Maps Embedded and OEM SDK.
- Both products provide advanced Electric Vehicle (EV) features, Search, Browse, Routing, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- This project aims to create a maps navigation app, written in Android, that integrates with the OEM SDK product.
- The app will visualize the map and provide the driver with a set of features to assist everyday driving.
- In addition, the creation of such an application will validate the OEM SDK APIs and give developmental feedback to the API developers, from an OEM perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Given the OEM SDK API documentation and product requirements, design, implement, and test the maps app.
- As a Senior developer, lead the software development and give guidance to the junior developers.
- Provide feedback to the API developers.
- Frequent discussion with product stakeholders to understand the refine the requirements.
- Frequent discussion with API developers to help them iterate the API.
- Validate the API with its specs.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in computer science or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience in Android software development.
- 4+ years of experience in application development with user interfaces.
- 2+ years of Team Lead (or Tech Lead) experience (5+ person team).
- Led successful projects that require creating a complex Android app from scratch.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Kotlin programming experience Git version control.
- Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
Desired:
- Experience in the Automotive industry e.g. Headunit and Infotainment software development.
- Experience in on-device API development.
- Experience in building maps application using Mapbox SDK or MapLibre SDK.
Pay rate range: $81.61 - $104.72 hourly.
