Position Overview

Stanley is looking for a Senior Manager, Risk to own and develop Stanley's Risk Management portfolio in support of business continuity. In this role, you will lead the implementation of processes and programs to ensure the organization's safety, resilience and compliance.


The Senior Manager, Risk will build risk mitigation plans, establish safety protocols, and cultivate a risk-aware culture to protect Stanley's products and customers and contribute to the company's sustained success. You will work closely with Product Creation, Manufacturing and Sourcing teams and Stanley's Legal department to deliver a compliant, risk-free, and innovative products that revolutionize the way people enjoy beverages and food everywhere.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and analyze potential risks in new materials and chemicals, manufacturing, supply chains and operations, and geopolitics.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments to evaluate risk likelihood and impact on business operations and develop and implement action plans to address identified risks. This includes finding opportunities to improve risk management practices and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements for safe products for our customers and consumers.
  • Track risk indicators, incidents, operating effectiveness and changes of business environment; take appropriate corrective action to ensure desired outcomes remain on track.
  • Proactively monitor industry trends and evaluate the appropriate actions for Stanley.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans for effective response to emergencies or disruptions.
  • Communicate risk assessment findings and mitigation plans to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Lead and collaborate in crisis management activities, providing direction and support during emergencies.
  • Conduct training sessions to raise risk awareness, promoting a risk-conscious culture across the organization.


About You

  • Proven experience in risk management, preferably in the manufacturing industry, focusing on identifying and mitigating operational risks.
  • Able to analyze data, trends, and patterns to identify emerging risks and support risk management strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, business continuity planning, and manufacturing-specific safety regulations.
  • Experience in setting up and managing risk registers and other risk assessment frameworks.
  • Strong analytical mindset for assessing complex risks and making informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with risk management software and tools for assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Crisis management experience, maintaining composure during emergencies.
  • Possesses the judgment to escalate and explain risks to the Enterprise Risk Management Steering Committee and/or senior management.
  • Continuous improvement mentality with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 6+ years of experience working in risk management in a regulatory environment.
  • Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification preferred.
  • Masters Degree or MBA a plus.


Interaction and Environment

  • You will be a key member of the Operations team and will report to the Director of Quality and Compliance.
  • Daily work hours flex to build collaborative partnerships and timely communications across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Indirectly leads, motivates, and influences a global team, spanning multiple regions and cultures.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.


Salary Range

$140,000 - $160,000 annually.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
