SET THE COURSE

The Senior Financial Analyst has a passion for strategic insights and how the financial data fits into the broader business context. They can translate financial data into actionable insights to drive strategic decision making to help the company achieve goals. They approach financial analysis with a critical mindset, questioning assumptions, identifying potential biases and considering various scenarios to make informed judgements. They provide budgeting and financial analysis for the organization's operating and capital budgeting for various divisions of the business which could include: ecommerce, wholesale, international, retail and restaurant divisions and Corporate departments. Assist in preparing the annual division budgets and reforecasts and ensures that actual performance meets or exceeds budget. Conduct financial analysis projects and statistical studies. Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports for all divisions and identify trends.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

  • Overall responsibilities will include analysis and reporting on divisional financial performance, (including expense and cost of goods sold) and other costs related to the business for accuracy
  • Assist in specialized assignments related to financial analysis of new projects and or ventures
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly/annual financial reports and schedules provided to management and parent company
  • Assist in development of models for budgeting, forecasting, 5-year plan as well as other ad hoc analysis
  • Prepare and analyze daily sales reports for all divisions and identify trends
  • Implementing, coordinating, and contributing to other projects that require financial review
  • Create financial analysis tools and processes
  • Develop annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts in the areas assigned
  • Assist in senior management budget reviews
  • Assist in the development of budgeting tools, systems, and processes
  • Assist in modeling labor & benefits costs of various divisions as assigned
  • Flexible for other duties as needed to help support the overall business.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

  • Generally, 6+ years in Accounting with at least 3+ years in financial analysis
  • 3+ years in a retail company; restaurant & wholesale experience a plus
  • 2+ years' experience managing complex projects and priorities
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office (including advanced Excel & PowerPoint); Visio, & Access/SQL a plus
  • Experience in public accounting and/or auditing or commensurate experience
  • Experience with retail &/or restaurant point of sale and inventory systems
  • Experience with ERP Financial Systems (SAP preferred)
  • Experience with inventory costing and inventory management
  • Experience with Reporting (merchandise, accounting, budgeting) and BI Tools
  • Strong understanding and experience with budgeting (SAP BPC preferred), financial, & reporting systems
  • Expert analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly switch between open projects
  • Experience managing and manipulating large amounts of complex data

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $78,981.38-$131,635.63 annually
